About the Shows:

• Cinderella is an NWCT original tap-dance musical extravaganza!
• Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! is a short and sweet show, similar to some of our fan-favorite productions like Elephant & Piggie and Pete the Cat.
• Ways to Make Sunshine is a world premiere play with music, co-produced with World Stage Theatre. It is written by Shalanda Sims and is based on the beloved book of the same name by Portland-based best-selling author Renée Watson.

Compensation and General Information

• Pay is $19.80 per hour for all rehearsals and performances.
• All Rehearsals and Performances take place at The Judy, 1000 SW Broadway, Portland OR 97205
• Adults aged 18+ are asked to complete a background check prior to employment by NWCT.

Schedule and Conflicts

• Below are links to rehearsal and performance calendars for all shows.
• Please check the calendars carefully and list any conflicts you have with either rehearsals or performances in the form.
• Note that our school matinee performances occur during weekday work hours. Please ensure that you would be available for these performances in addition to standard weekend shows.
• Conflicts will be considered in casting.

Casting

Please note: the following roles are precast:

• Cinderella and The King in Cinderella
• The Pigeon in Pigeon

As a youth arts organization, NWCT uses age-appropriate casting.

• All youth roles will be played by student performers.
• Student performers will be prioritized in the casting of non-age specific ensemble roles.
