Blue Marigold
WORLD PREMIERE!
Most enjoyed by ages 10 and up

Written by Mabelle Reynoso (she/her/ella), a multidisciplinary storyteller who has devoted her artistic career to building connections in communities through storytelling. Since 2004, Mabelle has been a teaching artist for the nonprofit arts education organization Playwrights Project. Her own art is largely informed by her work with underserved and marginalized populations, including Spanish-speaking immigrants, expectant teens, foster youth, and justice-involved youth and adults.

Blue Marigold is part of the TYA BIPOC Superhero Project, an initiative dedicated to promoting and celebrating the amazing stories being created by TYA playwrights across the United States that explore the notion of Superheroes while, at the same time, explore the issues that are our youth communities of color are encountering and struggling with.

Blue Marigold is part mystery, part action thriller, and part high school drama, reminding us that with great power comes great responsibility.
