Introduction to Acting

Ages 6-14
|
Learn basic acting techniques, tips and terms. This fun format
introduces students to warm-ups, stage direction, theater etiquette, character analysis,
scene work and more. Intro II students will work on more advanced material, and are invited
to attend a free performance of Sleeping Beauty, on May 10 at 2 p.m. This class is a
suggested prerequisite to playlab classes.

Students will compile resumes, learn cold-reading, improv techniques, and audition etiquette. Guests will
provide information on varied audition topics. Each student will receive individual coaching to prepare a
monologue and a song for audition. Tuition includes information booklet and Star Struck Seminar.
