Second Stage is a series of specially developed programs designed to provide advanced training to students with the experience, talent and desire to continue professional instruction in the performing arts. Through Kid’s Company NW, Studio NW, Studio JR, and Interns NW, selected students develop their craft working with top theater professionals through a combination of advanced classes, workshops and performance opportunities. Visit the links above for more information about Second Stage programs.
In addition to these programs, NWCT occasionally initiates special projects that feature or incorporate the work of NWCT advanced students. These can include everything from new play development workshops to explorations using film and video. Special projects are announced throughout the season, and are typically filled by special invitation by current and past Second Stage students.
Most Second Stage programs are tuition based. Tuition assistance is available for qualifying students. Participation in all Second Stage programs is by audition or special invitation.
