A Goonies Adventure Ages 9-12
Calling all treasure seekers! How do you stop a team of developers from turning your neighborhood into a golf course? Easy – you seek out One-Eyed Willy’s hidden treasure hoard! Gather a team of your most adventurous friends and get ready to explore the underground caverns of the evil Fratelli family. Goonies never say die!

Snow White and Rose Red Ages 7-9
A jealous queen, a witty mirror, seven spirits, and some good old fashioned sibling rivalry – this is no ordinary tale of Snow White! This face-paced playlab follows Snow White in her quest to liberate the kingdom from the queen’s evil reign. But can she and her sister Rose Red sort out their differences and work together to save the kingdom?

Phil and Ned’s Bogus Journey Ages 12-16
Phil and Ned, the bodacious time traveling duo, are back! Having successfully completed their history project Phil and Ned must now collect some of the world’s greatest musicians in order to defeat their evil robot counterparts in The Battle of The Bands!

Skills Classes

Skills classes are for beginning and intermediate students looking to learn a specific theater skill and take their performance to the next level.


Acting Essentials: Scene Study Ages 7-10
Performers will build performance skills through theater exercises, improv, and scripted scenes. Beginning and intermediate students will be assigned simple scenes to memorize, rehearse, and perform. Note: Students strongly encouraged to take multiple sessions of Acting Essentials.

Acting Essentials: Shakespeare’s Villains Ages 11-15
A class for students who want a challenge! Exploring scenes ranging from the tragic, to the romantic, to the violent, students will delve into both the verbal sparring and physicality of the Bard’s most devious and despicable characters.

Audition Intensives Ages 8-17
This intensive six-week workshop will prepare students for various types of auditions. Students will compile resumes, learn cold-reading skills, improv techniques, and audition etiquette. Instructors will provide information on varied audition topics. Each student will receive individual coaching to prepare a monologue and a song for auditioning.

Audition Intensive students will have a final demonstration during which they will perform their audition pieces for our Second Stage Directors. Students ages 10 and over will then have the opportunity to audition for the NWCT mainstage season (and re-audition for Second Stage should they choose to) at our Season Auditions on May 13, 14, and 15.
Note: Limit 12 students per section. Demo last class.

Take Two: Intermediate Acting for the Camera Ages 8-14
Step off the stage and onto the silver screen. Learn the tips and tricks of film and video acting from industry professionals. Level 2 class for those who took Acting for the Camera in the fall.

Musical Theater & Dance

Harmony! Ages 8-14
Take your vocal performance to the next level. Develop the foundations of proper vocal technique, choral singing, and harmony. Students will explore their vocal range with song styles including musical theater, pop, folk, and more. We recommend taking this class multiple times.

Voice & Dance Combo: The Animal Kingdom Ages 7-10
Develop rhythm, coordination, and confidence in this skills class perfect for students looking to become a "triple threat." Explore a blend of jazz, tap, and modern dance through the songs and sounds of the animal kingdom.

Voice & Dance Combo: Oz Through the Ages Ages 11-14
We're off to see the wizard! Follow the Yellow Brick Road as it weaves from one smash hit musical to another. Performers will perfect songs from The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz and Wicked.

Explore Classes

Explore classes encourage young and beginning students to explore their world through art and imagination. Students are introduced to theater through creative drama and ensemble games.

Raiders of the Lost Artifact Ages 7-10
One part adventure, one part improv, this class is for students looking to have fun and test their creative mettle. Each week, students will discover new treasures and improvise scenes around them.

Rainbow Lagoon Ages 6-9
The mermaids of Rainbow Lagoon thought that nothing could ever go wrong in their peaceful corner of the ocean. But trouble lurks in even the most magical of places. Prepare to use your imagination as you write original songs and create an enchanting world over the rainbow and under the sea.

First Stage

If You Give a Mouse a Cookie Ages 4-6
Never offer a mouse a cookie if you’re not prepared to offer up a whole lot more! This classic tale welcomes rascals, scamps and mischief makers of all kinds, not to mention a wheelin’ and dealin’ mouse. Are you ready what happens when you give a mouse a cookie?

Rumble in the Jungle Ages 3-5
Welcome to the jungle – we’ve got fun and games! Follow your animal instincts and explore your wild side as we act out stories about the wild beasts of the jungle.

Dinostauries Ages 4-6
Prepare for a prehistoric adventure through your imagination in this truly tremendous First Stage class. Drawing on a trio of classc dino-tales (The Good Dinosaur, Danny the Dinosaur and Edwina the Dinosaur Who Didn't Know She Was Extinct) students will unearth a dino-mite story all their own!

Home School Theater

Home School Drama Club Ages 6-10
Come one, come all to NWCT's Home School Drama Club! Explore characters, storytelling, and the wondrous places your imagination will take you in this create drama class. Perform a scene or write one of your own. Learn the fundamentals of performance!
