Acting
Introduction to Acting Ages 6-14
Learn basic acting techniques, tips and terms. This fun format introduces students to voice projection, stage direction, theater etiquette, scene work and more. Students will be invited to attend a free performance of Snow White. Suggested prerequisite to playlab classes.

Intermediate Acting Ages 11-16
Review basic acting techniques then move on to in-depth character analysis, monologues, scene work and more. Intermediate students will be invited to attend a free performance of Snow White. Previous class or performance work required.

Comedy Club! Ages 9-12
Free your inner comedian and work out it’s comedy kinks with theater games, skits, spit takes, rubber chickens, on and on… Classy comedic tips and techniques are waiting for your inner comedian.

Private Coaching All Ages
One-on-one intensive coaching for musical and non-musical theater will help you choose and polish music, monologues or scenes and give you audition tips and techniques. Film and Video
Basic TV/Film Acting Ages 8-16
Act on camera and get a taste of the exciting world of film acting. Sandra will introduce you to improvisation, presentation, audition skills and scene acting using real commercial, TV and film scripts! Class limit 10.

Musical Theater

Classes held in our new Anna G. Bennett Dance Studio!

Voice & Dance Combo Ages 8-12
Students will be introduced to basic techniques of voice and dance—half and half as they work with Margot and Rosalind. The emphasis is on beginning musical theater performance skills.

All That Jazz! Ages 8-14
Veteran performer/teacher Rosalind brings a variety of jazzy music—contemporary and musical theater standards—to get you started on jazz basics. You’ll have so much fun you’ll hardly realize you are learning essential musical theater fundamentals and body awareness.

Strictly Ballroom! Ages 11 & up
Ballroom dancing is back on the charts with a bang. In this lively class Becca will teach several popular partner dances including waltz, tango, and swing, just in time for the Teen Masquerade on Broadway Ball on June 3! Sign up with a friend/partner for tuition discount.

First Stage

Bo-Peep and Those Sheep! Ages 3½-5
Little Bo-Peep has a hard time dealing with her saucy and snootie sheep! Kids will have fun while learning performance basics such as face forward and be loud! This funny class builds self-esteem through imaginative play and self expression. Class limit 8.

Acting ABCs Ages 4½-6
“A” is for acting and “B” is for backstage and “C” is for costumes that we love! This term beginners will focus on “S” to explore theater as they act out stories, learn stage directions and so much more!

Unicorn’s Surprise Ages 5½-7
Frost lives in a fanciful world of forest creatures where all are friends. Suddenly everyone is too busy to play with the sad little unicorn. Beginning actors will enjoy this sweet play with magical characters.

Playlabs

The following classes will put on a play. Students will audition,
rehearse, and perform. Everyone gets a part!

Size or nature of roles is at the professional discretion of our instructors. All roles provide a valuable learning experience. No refunds granted due to dissatisfaction with assigned roles. Most performances will be videotaped and made available for purchase.

The Importance of Being Ernest Ages 12-16
Much absurd confusion results in Oscar Wilde’s hilarious classic comedy. This shortened version retains the wit and charm of the original, with unforgettable male and female parts. Class limit 9.

Workshops & Seminars


Audition Workshop (NWCT season auditions 6/8-6/11) Ages 8-18
This intensive audition workshop will prepare students for various types of auditions. Students will compile resumes, learn cold-reading, improv techniques, and audition etiquette. Guests will provide information on varied audition topics. Each student will receive individual coaching to prepare a monologue and a song for audition. Tuition includes information booklet and Star Struck Seminar. Last class is your NWCT season audition.

Star Struck Seminar All Ages
Does your child have stars in their eyes? Attend this seminar! Agents, directors and young actors will present information on kids in “The Business.” Topics include training, costs, portfolios, agents, odds of success and much more. Afterwards, mingle with the panel for one on one dialogue. Information booklet and light refreshments included. KidsPro members free.

Scouts & Brownie Badge Workshop Ages 6 & Up
Attend a theater class, see Go, Dog Go! or Snow White, and complete your theater badge, all on the same evening! (Boys welcome too, but please note activities may not qualify for the Boy Scout badge.) Room for a short dinner break is provided. Scout leader is free. Other parents/chaperones pay $12.
