Annie’s Hard Knock Life! Ages 7-12
This prequel explores the adventures of everyone’s favorite orphan before she met Daddy Warbucks. Inspired by the original comic strip, Annie gets into scrapes, helps friends and wins hearts in this original script complete with plenty of music and dance. Also offered afternoons.

Rumpelstiltskin’s Revenge! Ages 11-16
Suezann does it again as she takes a fresh musical look at the classic fairy tale about spun gold, an unusual name and the fate of a first born child! This fun retro version will feature music—Motown style!

Ages 7-10
Wizards Tales!
Enter the wizard realm and read the ancient runes for magical fun! This lively camp will help young actors apply theater basics as they work with script, music, props and costumes.

MORNING STUDIO II

Ages 11-18
Transformers! (Theater Transformers that is!)
Don’t miss this Studio Camp designed for committed theater students. Actor/producer George Elliott will introduce you to the mid-century greats such as Stella Adler and Sanford Meissner who transformed acting and explored a new way to experience theater. Students will used learned techniques to work scenes and monologues. This unique in-depth workshop will leave you wanting more! Audition or prior approval required.

Fifth Annual SUMMER NIGHTS!


Advanced Musical Theater Workshop Ages 12-18
Back for the fifth summer, this popular advanced workshop will help to sharpen musical skills and challenge experienced young per formers! Enrollment by audition or invitation only.

This shortened Shakespearean comedy is a sunny choice for the classical camp. More experienced students will enjoy the romantic situations, unforgettable language and merry mix-ups that the Bard is revered for.

Robin Hood! Ages 11-16
Classic adventure awaits you in Sherwood Forest. Robin Hood, Maid Marian, and those unforgettable Merry Men pit themselves against the evil Sheriff of Nottingham in this timeless adventure. Instructors Sam Burns and Lucas Welsh are fresh from our mainstage “Robin Hood.”

Ages 11-18
The Actor’s Actor!
This advanced workshop stands alone or as a continuation of Transformers. Students will focus on great method actors: Brando, Streep, DeNiro, Fonda, Pacino, etc. — their strengths, performances, techniques, and passion for their craft. Outside work expected. Audition or prior approval required.

Cowboy Corral! Ages 7-10
Bring yer boots and yer cowboy gear but leave yer horse outside! We’ll sit around the preverbal campfire, serenade the doggies and act out tall tales from the wild-west! Yippy-io-ki-ay!

Creative Costume Design Ages 11-16
For those of you who enjoy costumes and want to learn more about design, this hands on camp includes a fashion show made of newspaper and make-up for theater. Class will also help to costume the week’s camps. Limit 10.

Film Workshop II Ages 12-18
Be a star while practicing on-camera improvisation, interview, and audition skills. Use real commercial, film, and TV scripts (comedy, drama) and positive video feedback to gain confidence and experience. Limit 12

Music, Music, Music! Ages 8-11
Love to sing and dance? Then this is the class for you! Perform music both old and new complete with snazzy dance routines, costumes and fun!

Ghost Hunters (all day) Ages 10-15
You’ve seen those gritty TV shows where ghost hunters use cameras and scientific equipment to capture sounds/sightings of the paranormal? Join this spooky parody to explore the supposedly haunted NWCT theater! Ooooh…DVD and tee-shirt included

The Paper Bag Bandit (all day) Ages 9-14
Melodrama is theater for everyone. It is silly, very obvious and well…quite melodramatic, with heroines, villains, adventure and such.

Learn technical theater as you work with NWCT’s award-winning set designer. Students will help design and tech Ghost Hunters and The Paper Bag Bandit.

Broadway Guys & Gals Ages 10-15
Dress up, sing and dance to classy songs from Broadway musical theater. Camps 1 and 2 will have an emphasis on how to choreograph your own numbers!

Many cultures tell of creepy goblins with magical abilities. We’ll explore these stories then use puppets, costumes and props to bring them to life!

Comedy looks easy, but is far from it, it requires timing, technique and practice. You have to be serious to be funny…not! Just kidding, at least about the serious part! Oh and don’t forget to bring your funny bone along!

FIRST STAGE ONE-WEEK CAMPS A.M.   Ages 4½-6


Old McDonald’s Farm! Ages 4½-6
Spend your morning at the McDonald’s NWCT farm! Little farmers will play games, sing songs, learn about farm animals and put on a short playlet based on those favorite farm stories that continue to enrich each new generation.
